Last Monday, I recieved the UK traveling book from Designers of Tumblr.
Here are some images of my contribution.
One of the aims of the traveling books is to challenge each illustrator. With this in mind, the pages of the books are made up of different colours, textures, shapes, sizes and materials. I was working on tracing paper for two of my pages, which was unknown territory for me. It was difficult but enjoyable to work with an unexpected material and allowed me to play with the depth of translucent layers.
I am very excited to be a part of this project, I think the finished books are going to be stunning displays of talent, and I was pleasantly surprised to receive the UK book so quickly.
Today I am posting the book on to its next temporary home.
